Post Graduation Life: Community Employment for Special Education Students


Are you interested in what community employment opportunities and support are available? Join us for a presentation on adult services and employment opportunities offered by We Grow Dreams and Little City Foundation. We’ll also discuss how the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act affects transition youth, how to plan for transition, and helping our employees gain credits towards Social Security and Medicare.

CAC January Meeting – AVID College Readiness System

Join us for our January program featuring a presentation on the AVID College Readiness System. Presenters will discuss the history of AVID and how the program came to U-46, what the program involves and what a typical AVID student looks like, what challenges and successes have occured in the AVID program, and what the next steps are to bring AVID to more students in the district. There will be time for Q&A after the program.

Please note that once again, this program will be held in room B100 at South Elgin High School.
